Biography
Shiva has been a resident of Cameron Park for 24 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Computer Science, as well as a Masters in Computer Science from CSUS. She has been in the technology field for over 25 years.

Shiva and her husband have enjoyed raising their two children in El Dorado County and her family is blessed with a granddaughter born in January 2016. Her son has graduated from University of Maryland with a Masters degree in International Relations and completed his second deployment in Afghanistan as Social Scientist with the Human Terrain System in September 2013. The family is blessed to have him back in the US after serving his country and he now lives in Kansas City with his wife and a new born daughter. Her daughter is a junior at University of California, San Diego on her way to an engineering degree in BioInformatics.

Shiva Frentzen has been a business leader in El Dorado County for more than a decade. She is President of CAL Internet Services a web site design and web hosting company and Eldoradobusiness.com an online business directory. As Past President of the El Dorado County and Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce, she made significant contributions to the growth and success of the Chambers while working tirelessly to promote a business-friendly environment.

On September 2014, Shiva Frentzen was elected to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors for District II during a special election due to former Supervisor being removed from office by a judge. She was the only board member who voted against the raise for the elected officials, the 2014-2015 and the preliminary 2015-2016 budgets to advocate for an immediate end to deficits and for creating financial reserves. She has met and listened to many community groups and constituents so she can better represent them on the Board of Supervisors. She has consistently demanded for proper planning within our limits to maintain the quality of life, agricultural heritage and rural character of our County for future generations. She has supported public safety, seniors, youth, broadband infrastructure, Economic Development and bringing high-paying jobs to our County. She has used her experience in the private sector to bring financial accountability, efficiency and transparency to El Dorado County. As a true independent with no political party affiliation, her voting record is a testament to her fiscally conservative values. Her decisions have always been made in the best interests of the constituents and not for the special interest groups.

Her track record is no secret and she received the Reader's Choice Award in 2012 for Civic Leader of the year in El Dorado County from Style magazine.


In 2010, Shiva Frentzen was elected to the Cameron Park Community Services District where she continues to work tirelessly to bring financial accountability and transparency to the district. Fire safety has been her top priority. She was the first board member to advocate for an immediate end to deficits and for creating financial reserves. She continues to hold the staff accountable for increasing revenues and decreasing expenses for the Cameron Park Community Center, which continues to operate in the red.

She was instrumental in lowering the excessive attorney fees in the district. She enjoys a relationship of mutual respect and trust with the members of the community. She actively advocates on behalf of the senior citizens, youth and children to support programs that enhance these vital groups in our community.

Shiva received the 2007 Community Service award from the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce for demonstrating a strong and ongoing commitment to supporting our community.

Her online business directory, www.eldoradobusiness.com, was created in 2004 to help keep tax dollars in our county and is an outstanding resource for residents and business owners to easily locate services and businesses in El Dorado County.

Shiva was the recipient of the 2006 Larry Cameron Award for being instrumental in obtaining a $25,000 grant from El Dorado County to promote events in the Cameron Park/Shingle SPrings communities.

She was also instrumental in applying for a $35,000 Economic Development Block Grant from the State of California to conduct a feasibility study for bringing a Farmer's Market to Cameron Park.
